SECTION uncharted territory: video art in IRAN
Unexplored section presents creations audiovisual productions with poor visibility or impact and cultural territories in the antipodes.

Thursday, December 13 from 17:00 to 18:30

With the new media art, video art in particular – one of the channels most significant contemporary artistic expression – the boundaries are blurred and the voice of the artist can embark on a global stage.
Increasingly, Iranian artists are making use of video, a versatile medium that allows them to express their opinions, their messages and draw attention to social problems.
This selection of work by Iranian artists, most of them a young generation who still lives in Iran, about the viewer to the cultural contexts and social reality of the country, in addition to playing at the universal common concepts.
Works not selected under a particular theme, but there is a common denominator: to some extent, all reflect the reality of experiencing critical situations.
